Last weekend, we had an unplanned trip to Damai Central, Santubong. There we 7 of us with each riding our own favourite high-powered bike. It didn’t take us a long time to reach there from Kuching city.
Damai Central was born out of a vision to transform Damai Bay and the Santubong Peninsular into an oasis of life by providing facilities and services in the domain of shopping, sports, entertainment, recreation, and other leisure activities.
The Hornbill Statue is one of the main attractions at Damai Central and it’s really something that every first timer would love to take photo with. However, there are other attractions too, such as the food court, that serves variety of local delicacies such as satay, chicken rice, ABC, fruit juices etc. There’s also a clean and sandy beach to walk along and shopping outlets that sell Batik, kites, swimming attire and many more.
The landscape and building structures are very attractive to the eyes.

If you forget to bring a lot of cash, don’t worry, there’s an ATM there. And if you are looking for fun activities to do there, you can always rent bicycles, buy kites or rent the canoes (Not sure of their exact names).
So, if you’ve not been there, pack your bag now and start driving there. Ahaks!
