In Kuching, we don’t have a zoo but we have the famous Jong Crocodile Farm. My last visit was more than 10 years ago, but when I visited the place recently, it changed so much. Let me show you around…
[A cute monument]
[The crocodiles exhibition room]
[The famous crocodile skull; The Bujang Senang]
[The Pak Indon crocodile]
[The famous Bujang Sudin]
Other than crocodiles, the farm has other animals too, which I didn’t manage to capture all the photos.
[The water snake]
Well, they have other animals too. If you want to meet them, just fly or drive there. The price is RM10 for Sarawakians and Rm18 for West Malaysians. It opens at 9 AM daily.
Do they breed the crocodiles? If yes, what do they breed the crocodiles for?
I don’t think I have ever visited a crocodile farm. The nearest one I know of to my place is at Malacca (I think).
Yes they do. They sell the meat.
Looks interesting. What are the crocodiles bred for?
Meat, medicine and increasing the population.
Scary for me though so if I do go, I’ll stay far far away from them. LOL
Yes. Like you, I don’t really like crocodiles. They scare me to death.
Did you try the crocodile meat, Willie? We have one crocodile farm here in Sabah too
