How’s your day? This year, my wife had to invigilate SPM exam, so I have to be in town accompanying her. Usually, during the end year school holiday, we will be staying at kampung for a month, where internet access is impossible. But now, since I am a full-time househusband at home during this school holiday, I am doing a lot of things including; wedding shoot, editing photos, watching youtube on home studio, playing Starcraft II PC game and learning some photoshop skills. I am determined to upgrade my photography skill and also my editing skill.
Recently, I took half a day to learn to edit this photo: But, forgive me…my cut and paste is still at the beginning stage. I am still an amateur at superimpose. Well, of all the stock photos I have, I have chosen this photo to be edited:
[This photo was taken last month at our school. The students were performing a dance called “Puteri Santubong”]
Well, due to the unlimited time I have (in which I am really enjoying right now) I had decided to edit the above photo into…..
Tada! Do you like it?

And in this photo, I enlarge the background image:
I always wonder, when people create a group, they always wanted to be associated with evil. So they come out with names like “Black Sabbath”, “Morbid Angel” etc. Now, probably it is no surprise that these singers chose that names since they sing devil-related songs. But how about infamous and ordinary people like you and me? Look around us, they wear t-shirt related to devilish act like “I’m a PornStar”, “Marijuana is my life”, “LifeSucks!” and when I visit an autoshow, I see people modified their cars into devilish look, and they put devilish stickers on the cars. Anyway, should we be proud of evil?
Inspired by En. Odio in his blog entitled “Terbiut.blogspot.com”, I came to think about superimpose. At first, I did not understand why Odio call his blog “Terbiut”. But at last, I relaised, “terbiut” is related to “Comedy“. So he did a lot of cut and paste in his photos. But then, bravo to him for he is making money with his talent of superimpose.
I am not good at superimpose, but this is what I had done for a group of youngsters who wanted to be associated with “devils” atlhough, in reality, they are good people who actually performed for our school. So I did a superimpose to their photo. Here it is:
What do you think of my superimpose? Hahaha! Just learning on how to cut and paste… All the gurus out there, help me yeah?
Hi! How’s your Raya holiday? I bet you guys had a great time right?
Today, I just feel like writing on the subject “Studio Photography“. Although I love outdoor shoot very much, I am thinking of venturing into studio photography seriously. I have invested quite a lot of money (for a man who live on fixed monthly salary) simple studio equipment but I am yet to learn intensively about studio photography.
It is true like what my sifoo said about Studio photography. It is different and requires a lot of practices to capture a perfect photo. Recently I slept less hours due to watching Youtube on doing home studio. Hahaha! After reading this, I’m sure Norris will be interested to follow my footstep in making a home studio.
This is my first session taking studio photograph at home. It turns out to be not perfect. Maybe the mistake was on technical or just my skill. I hope, the next time around will be better.
[My son, a 4 year old boy as the model]
I do hope that with a lot of practices, I will be able to produce better photos with my home studio. Feel free to comment yeah? Adios Amigos!
p/s: The photo is done at home and not in a proper studio.
